Description

A beer sign advertises cold beer in direct lettering.

Cultural Note

Pirosmani’s earliest Old Tbilisi commissions were advertising signs. The paintings with direct figures, bold lettering, and depictions of goods were meant for public recognition rather than galleries, which later became valuable because of his unique artistic journey.
