A pipe is presented as a simple object study.

Cultural Note

Pirosmani grew up in the culture of taverns, markets, and hospitality. His paintings of vessels and foods are sometimes compared to Old Tbilisi craft traditions, or based on his archetypal depictions of many peasant and tavern labor, some view it as the fruits of their labor.
