Description

An Easter lamb and feast table appear with flying angels.

Cultural Note

Pirosmani’s paintings weren’t with a primary religious focus, yet many are shaped by Christian holidays, which of course ties into his upbringing and the deep overlap in Georgian culture and Christian traditions. Easter Lamb and Saint George’s Day in Bolnisi demonstrate faith embedded in communal life.
