Cultural Note
Shota Rustaveli and Queen Tamar are one of the most important figures in Georgian history, therefore it isn’t unusual to see Pirosmani’s paintings having a strong emphasis on them. Pirosmani turns literary and royal memory into a more compact national emblem.
