Description
A hunter holds a gun and trap.
Cultural Note
Pirosmani’s depictions of hunting showed the animals he usually monumentalized in a different, and more environmental light. Some argue that paintings like the “Eagle Caught a Rabbit” follow a common medieval Georgian eagle-and-prey scheme.
